Acupuncture
Acupuncture is a time-honored healing practice that involves the insertion of fine, sterile needles into specific points on the body. This technique is designed to stimulate the body’s natural healing abilities, encouraging balance and enhancing overall wellness. By influencing the flow of qi—the vital energy that circulates throughout the body—acupuncture helps restore harmony. When the flow of qi is blocked or deficient, it can lead to illness. Conversely, when qi flows freely and smoothly, the body is in a state of balance and vitality.

Facial rejuvenation at Sage & Stone Therapies is a natural, non-invasive approach to supporting healthy, radiant skin from both an internal and external perspective.
Treatments may include facial rejuvenation acupuncture on its own, or may be combined with Collagen Induction Therapy (CIT) — also known as microneedling — depending on your skin concerns, treatment goals and overall constitution.
Facial acupuncture uses ultra-fine needles placed at specific points on the face and body to support circulation, collagen production, skin tone and overall tissue health. Treatments are designed to soften the appearance of fine lines, reduce puffiness, support skin vitality and encourage a more refreshed and naturally radiant appearance.
Collagen Induction Therapy (CIT) uses a professional microneedling device to create controlled micro-channels within the skin, stimulating the body’s natural collagen and elastin production. CIT may help improve skin texture, tone, pigmentation, acne scarring and elasticity while supporting deeper skin renewal.

Moxibustion
Moxibustion is a practice rooted in traditional Chinese medicine that involves burning dried mugwort, as moxa, on or near specific points of the body. This technique aims to enhance circulation and promote a harmonious flow of Blood and Qi along the meridians. It is particularly effective in addressing conditions associated with Cold or Yang deficiency, as well as Dampness. Additionally, when administered correctly, moxibustion can alleviate Heat and excess conditions, making it a favored treatment for invigorating the body with renewed energy.

Herbal Medicine
Chinese herbal medicine is a key component of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) that uses natural substances—mainly plants, minerals, and sometimes animal products—to restore balance, promote health, and prevent illness. Herbs are carefully selected and blended into formulas tailored to an individual's specific needs, considering factors like their constitution, lifestyle, and environment. Often combined with other TCM treatments, such as acupuncture, it offers a holistic approach to healing.

Cupping Therapy
Cupping therapy is a traditional healing practice that involves placing special cups on the skin to create suction. This suction is thought to help improve circulation, relieve muscle tension, and promote the flow of qi (vital energy) throughout the body. Cupping is often used to treat pain, inflammation, and stress, as well as respiratory issues like coughs and colds.

Shonishin
Shonishin is a gentle, non-invasive form of paediatric acupuncture that originated in Japan. It is designed to address a range of health concerns in children, particularly infants and young ones who are too sensitive for traditional acupuncture.
Rather than using needles, Shonishin utilises specialised tools such as small rollers, brushes, and scrapers to stimulate the skin and acupuncture points. This technique helps balance the body's energy, or qi, and promote healing in a soothing way. Shonishin is commonly used to treat common pediatric issues, including digestive problems, sleep disturbances, immune support, colic, and irritability.
